Day 9: Mombo Camp to Vumbura Plains North

After morning activities, guests transfer by air to Vumbura Airstrip, followed by a guided game drive to Vumbura Plains North.
Days 10 & 11: Safari at Vumbura Plains
Place:
Vumbura Plains lies within a diverse landscape of waterways and dry savannah, offering both land- and water-based safari experiences via vehicles, mokoro excursions, and boating.
Wildlife:
Seasonally flooded grasslands (melapo) support elephant, giraffe, impala, kudu, zebra, sable antelope, red lechwe, buffalo, and more. Hippo and crocodile inhabit the channels, while predators include African wild dog, lion, leopard, cheetah, and African wildcat. Birdlife is exceptional year-round.
Accommodation:
The camp consists of two satellite lodges with elevated luxury tents, each featuring a sunken lounge, plunge pool, private sala, and expansive decks. Family units include connected tents for added privacy. Décor blends contemporary elegance with African artistry.
Purpose:
The Vumbura Concession operates in partnership with local communities under the Okavango Community Trust, generating socio-economic benefits, employment, skills training, and long-term conservation incentives.
Day 12: Departure from Botswana
After breakfast and check-out, guests transfer to the airstrip for a Wilderness Air flight to Maun Airport, where they connect with international departures.
